 Season Updates
The Westwood Warrior softball team is really beginning to like its new home field. On Tuesday they hosted a home run heavy 8-7 boat-race victory over rival Round Rock. On Friday night Coach Tiffany Gates and her team faced the Lady Lions of Leander, a team they had previously beaten 7-0 on the road.

Last night the Lady Warrior Softball team hosted their 5th Annual Homerun Derby contest at a successful "A Night Under the Lights" event.Donkey Drop Bingo with star Donkey, "BB" and the B-B-Q sales were a hit as well!
The winners of the 5th Annual Homerun Derby contest were:
- Ages 10-13: Izzy Barnes
- Adult and HS Females: Assistant Coach, Lauren Myrick
- Adult and HS Males: Brandon Pello

Mark your calendars now for the third annual fundraiser golf tournament! Help raise scholarship money for our softball seniors and to provide our program with the money to purchase extra equiptment! The tournament will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009, at Lost Creek Country Club, so sign up now!

Softball Performs at Pep Rally
The softball girls were asked to perform in the first pep rally of the year. They performed to a mix "A Tribute to Michael".
The songs were a mix of Billy Jean, Bad, Beat It and Thriller.

Former Westwood shortstop Carrie Monroe went 3-for-7 and drove in two runs in the doubleheader and is leading Iowa State with her .350 batting average.
